-I'll try to keep this updated- This Inktober, I'm doing a character design challenge based on the standard prompts, but also combined with @moosop's (on insta) character prompts. Should be fun! I'm using a mix of Faber-Castell pens and Koi watercolors. (plus some other random pens) Also all of these are super low quality but I'm not sure why! Sorry!
(the first two were drawn with a pen that bled when mixed with watercolor. Not fun!) 1. Swift + protagonist- At first he was gonna be a racer, then an astronaut, but now he's a pilot. Guess that's swift? 2. Divided + Antagonist I didn't want to do the standard "one side is evil one good" thing, so ribbons? I'm not super happy with how this turned out. I think the idea's cool, but the execution was bad. 3. Poisonous + sidekick Based on a poison dart frog. would have looked better with brighter colors but oh well! I switched to a pen that didn't leak everywhere, but it's thicker and harder to control. 4. Underwater + antagonist's right hand Inspired by angler fish and Japanese youkai (not the watch, never the watch.) I think she'd try really hard to seem creepy but fail and end up bein' a dork 5. Long + Comic relief What's long? String, ribbons, rope, noodles, mmm... noodles. 6. Sword + Anti-hero He's cold, sharp, and critical, just like his blade. 7. Shy and Mysterious Kind of based on the goddess statue from BOTW but not really? 8. Crooked + Comic Relief This one's kind of off prompt? Started off like a lumpy pumpkin headless horseman but ended up like this? 9. Screech + Eyecandy Uhhhhh this design was not comin easily for me. I like the design but It's very off prompt? Eye candy got lost amongst the screech. 10. Gigantic + Parent He's the best dad. 11. Run + Sibling She's clearly related to the protagonist- maybe it's a zelda type thing where the sister gets lost and the quest starts? 12. Shattered + Love interest I don't like how this turned out. I was super rushed for time due to a roadtrip... 13. Teeming + Mentor She's a fab plant professor who has a mess of creatures! Simple. I really like this one! 14. Fierce + Leader Based on some terrifying masks in Cherokee museums my grandparents took me to. 15. Mysterious + forgotton Prompt was super similar to , so I took it a completely different direction. 16. Graceful + misleading Fortune teller, leader of destiny. 17. Filthy + Kind-hearted Trash dad! 18. Cloud + Headstrong He's a strong, fightin boy 19. Deep + Tragic backstory Poor magic boy, has had a sad life, but hey, magic powers! 20. Juicy + loved by all Stupid doodle cause I was running outta time! 21. Cornfields. Being a scarecrow is a lonely job, but people gotta eat. 22. Teeming with life. (Super bad quality, it's a big image so it got squished.)
