(scroll down farther for backstory) Why Redfur, you've drawn another dragon! Well, not really... in reality, I was too lazy to draw another dragon though I really wanted to draw Aqua, so I ended up taking my drawing of Gwina and making some edits. Yeah, the background is definitely more original than the drawing. I tried to do shadows because the background looked unnatural without them but I don't think they turned out all that well. Queen Aqua's backstory: Queen Aqua is a water dragon and the Queen of Nevli. Her father, the previous king, left her an amulet set with jade which allows her to create a whirlpool or tsunami with concentration. Her mate died but her son, Tide, is still living. Aqua was the first dragon to hear the prophecy of the Crystal Dragon. She met the dragon Orion after he fled to Nevli, having been kicked out by the members of his tribe for possessing mysterious and dangerous powers. In Aqua's presence, something triggered young Orion's powers and he spoke a prophecy that could change the fate of Dralia. Orion eventually ended up going back to Buwen but Aqua harbored the secret of the prophecy for many years. Then, as the war between the territories of Dralia worsened, two dragons were captured and brought before Queen Aqua. She realized one of them was meant to help fulfill the prophecy: Nova, "the exploding star, leader of the eight". And so she told the dragon of her destiny and gave her an enchanted paper that would help her find the other prophecy dragons. It was then that her kingdom was overrun by Buwenites. She and her subjects tried to fend them off but in vain. Aqua was injured and forced to flee with her son to an invisible secret island a ways off the coast of Nevli. It was some time before she was able to return and regain her kingdom, with the help of a plant dragon. She realized it was the dragon who had been with Nova that one fateful day -- Gwina. Gwina had since become blind and in helping reclaim the kingdom had discovered new, stronger powers she had not known about. Now it is Aqua's mission to defend Nevli from anyone else who might try to invade and to help Gwina rediscover herself, as well as see the prophecy through to its fulfillment.
