Water Starter: Fishidrop, the Longfin Pokemon Fishidrop live in clear mountain streams and springs. They use their leg-like front fins to hop from habitat to habitat. Eelung, the Crawling Pokemon Many fishermen have reported seeing large, webbed footprints beside rivers and lakes. At first, these developed a local legend around them about a ghostly diver, but they were eventually discovered to be the prints of Eelung coming ashore to bask and forage. Tetranami, the Land Fish Pokemon This Pokemon is almost fully terrestrial, despite appearances. Should its skin begin to dry, it will summon nearby moisture in the air into a large wave to splash itself. The largest of these have been known to bring down trees. Grass Starter: Lichenroot, the Lichen Pokemon Lichenroot, unlike other grass types, are perfectly content living without soil. They live in colonies in mountanous areas on exposed rocks, and are often mistaken for clumps of moss when asleep. Mossishoot, the Fungus Leaf Pokemon Despite its name, Mossishoot is more like a mushroom than a moss. However, due to the algae on its skin, it is perfectly capable of photosynthesis. Sporasuit, the Formal Pokemon Sporasuit form organied scouting units in the wild that serve to find new homes for their colonies. They are highly coordinated, and will shoot defensive spores from their trumpet-like growths in unison. This makes a surprisingly melodious sound. Fire Starter: Ferretorch, the Coal Paws Pokemon Ferretorch live deep underground, in caves and abandoned mines. They feed on coal, which is stored in stony deposits on their skin. Despite being a skittish Pokemon, they are easy to track down by the powdery black footprints they leave behind. Ferrefuel, the Burning Pokemon Ferrefuel almost constantly emit smoke, even if it is hard to see. They often live in tandem with Grass-Types, who appreciate the mass amounts of carbon dioxide they produce. Ferreflare, the Loose Fire Pokemon Ferreflare tunnel through the earth, looking for coal to keep their fires burning. However, given the opportunity, they will also burn charcoal and any lightable leftovers and wastes from human fossil fuel use. However, to avoid overpolluting one area, they live far away from others of their species, surrounded by flame-resistant plant life to balance their ecological effect.
Credit goes to me for the designs, @Thunderbeast for the contest & type symbols, and Pokemon/Game Freak/Nintendo for the concept. ^^ (Idk if this is even still open I just felt like making some designs)
