The Little Light Two golden rays of sunshine Glowed on separate mountainsides Just tiny, flickering flames of yellow Tranquil, Free, and alone One fire saw the other Yawning with toasty glee A battle cry was called An unspoken challenge Accepted The bigger flame would win the fight Gallant, Brave, and True So they tore through the woods High on the hills Feeling not a morsel of rue Blue wisps climbed through the air Shattering, Crackling, Turning A path of destruction was burned out in front, Treacherous, Turbulent, Triumphant Treason Smoke danced like shadows on a painted cave wall Trees fell down, crushing their bearings Raging red rapids of bloodshed and destruction Rampaged the moor until there was nothing Neither really won Neither truly succeeded A mighty wind blew and they were Defeated Lost Broken They sank in pain One’s pride was crushed But the other one It’s eyes were Opened So when one fire died For the other, a spark Remained Glistening Glittering Golden A small little love that reached for the skies And it was soft It was sweet And it was beautiful. This is an original poem by @Florafeather. All copyright for this poem belongs to me. I created this poem back in March of 2017 but didn't get around to sharing it. If you try to steal my writing, you will face consequences, seeing as I have already shared my work on multiple other websites linked to me. The music is "A Tiny Love" from the Sword Art Online soundtrack. I thought that it went along with the poem.
