Before I start my explanation on who/what Scout is I would just like to say that you are free to remix as long as you use your own art and example picture. I don't like it when people remix things and change absolutely nothing, this means that you also have to give your own description of what it's like living with your pet and not just taking my text and changing a few things. Is that clear? Good. ONTO THE EXPLANATION! Okay, okay. I haven't brought Scout up in anything, until today, so it's very understandable that you don't know who he is. Scout is my Green Cheek Conure. I know it may seem weird having a bird in an often cold climate like Norway, but he hasn't died yet and no one's sent the police to my door, so that's all good. I wanted to make a project talking about living with him because I was inspired when Jaiden, as in Jaiden Animations, made a video about living with her Conure, Ari. If you watch Jaiden's videos then I know that it's DEFINITELY safe to say that Scout and Ari look pretty much identical. However it is obvious that I put an example just in case you don't watch her videos, even though the picture isn't Ari.
As i've already said, Scout is a Green Cheek Conure, a type of bird. I've heard a lot of people say that birds are extremely difficult to take care of, and they really aren't, it's just if you're dedicated enough to take care of them or not. Living with Scout is a blast. I got him on Christmas and I have absolutely know idea when his birthday is, so I just made it christmas, because it's easier that way. Something he really loves is bandanas. So, here's a story. I was in the pet store once and we walked past this huge collection of bandanas for birds and he just started chirping/squawking (whatever they do, I don't know) at the collection. I thought he was just being a grump as usual, but nope, he didn't stop until I picked the bandanas up. I don't even know why I bought them for him in the first place, all he does is pick them up and carry them around, unless he bugs me for me to put it on but that's like never. He's very introverted. I don't think these birds are known for being the most sociable birds but whenever someone he doesn't know tries to socialise with him he's like "Nope. Bye" and just proceeds to climb up my arm. Well, tell a lie, the only person he's good with is Derika, but that's about it. While they're not exactly recommended for apartments no one has ever came to me complaining. For those of you who don't know I attend a private school, by choice, I stay until major holidays (summer and christmas) and I stay over smaller holidays (like the two week october holidays some places have). I mean, the school is pretty fine with Scout, I haven't had a problem with anyone concerning Scout, everyone seems to love him. Though, my appartment/dorm room is quite big (like most others) so that might be the reason why no one's sued me yet? I don't know, everyone loves him and that's all I care about. I actually don't know Scout's gender. Here we don't assume genders, at least I hope not, but with a Green Cheek you can't really tell if it's male or female, you have to get a DNA test. It's pretty expensive if you live here in Norway, something like 203,66 Norwegian Krone, I don't know. So i'm just calling Scout a He/Him because it's easier than saying them/that all the time.
