Ok, so the plot is that the girl (who I named Anya Stargazer, in honour of @JuggleMonkey) is confined to her village, but she wants to explore. She escapes from her village and finds a carving on a tree, which is Y+E enclosed in a heart. Her grandparent's names are Yori (her grandfather) and Enga (her grandmother). She thinks that it is a carving made by them (it is) and thinks that they were allowed to come and go from the village as they please. But the reason that Anya is not allowed outside the village is that there is a monster called The Dark One. The Dark One has the head of a (fire breathing) dragon, the body of a snake (so he has no legs) and dragon wings. He is pitch black, but one eye is silver and the other eye is gold.
