Welcome to Weird Sentence Generator, a project that makes grammatically (but usually not literally) correct sentences. Click the green flag. Every time, it will make a new sentence through choosing a format, consulting a word list and displaying the result with the pen. However, the results are weird due to the fact that verbs in sentences with an object must have a preposition. The available sentences can very easily be changed by changing the wordlists. Please, feel free to remix this with different words! Just be careful of grammar: some words may not grammatically work. (See the notes below for an example.) Also be careful of rudeness. This generator has 58 seperate sentence structures (more are possible but are left out) and 178 words among various categories (depending on how you count them). The amount of possible combinations is... 5,567,236,800! (I calculated it.)
Pen text engine by @MeGacreator22 Inspired by @LavaByte's project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/177505244/ The generation code, word lists and everything else by me, @happybird123 Backgrounds inspired by a technique from @easy555 The available sentences can easily be changed by changing the wordlists and the random number pickers. Just be careful of grammar: some words may not grammatically work. English syntax (word order) and conjugation (run v. ran, etc.) is a tricky thing. For example, you can say "The man jumps over the moon" but you cannot say "The men jumps over the moon". You have to say "The men jump over the moon". This explains why I have 3 categories of verbs: Present Singular, Present Plural, and Past. And speaking of past tense, it doesn't follow that rule! There are more notes in the Stage regarding things like this. I came up with the idea for this on the 16th Nov 2017. The code, structures, and initial 68-word wordlist were created entirely on the 17th. On the 18th, the wordlist was expanded to 178 words, I added more backgrounds, tweaked the code a bit, and shared the project. If this gets enough likes and attention, I will make a deluxe version with far more grammatical features. (As of 12 March 2018, it is on 10 views, 3 loves and 3 favorites (none of them mine).) (And as of 20 July, it is on 45, 7 and 7.) (And as of 23 February 2019, is is on 135, 17 and 14, but I'm not doing much anymore.)
