This is a real song, called Little Susie released in 1995 by Michael Jackson. He wrote, sang, and produced it in memory of a little girl named Susan Codley 1966-1972, and all the children in the world who have and do suffer from circumstances that she did. Her father had left when she was little and her mother was a drug dealer. Since her mother was hardly ever around her older sister Anna was a mother figure to her. Anna was hit by a truck and killed, her mother died from drug overdose when Susie was four years old. She was left in the house starving for days until she was taken to live with her grandfather. For two years she was neglected and abused by him until he died. After he died she was forgotten and again left alone in his house. The story goes that she went to listen to her music box when someone broke into the house to rob them, and killed her when she was just six years old. The actual song features at the beginning the sound of a music box winding up, and at the end a clock chiming. I wasn't able to get the official song onto Scratch (it is much better than my version!) so I used sounds from the library and sung the lyrics to the tune of the song as best as I could to spread the song and message however I can. Let's all remember children like Little Susie and all the children in the world! :) <3 p.s. The backdrops you see are all from scratch but not random. I picked them to use in this project to represent places were Little Susie and children like her might have visited in general and are hiding out of sight all over the world.
