I needed to choose another mate. You know this. Deerlight: But things could have been different! You could have joined ThunderClan, or I could have joined RiverClan! You didn't have to do this... Stoneshadow: But Deerlight, RiverClan is my home. I can never leave it. I'm sorry, but we aren't mates anymore. Brightwhisker is my mate, not you. Deerlight: Alright, fine then! What if I told you I'm carrying kits?! Stoneshadow: *Pause* Deerlight, I-I never- Deerlight: Oh, so now you regret your decision to be with Brightwhisker?! No, now it's too late. You admitted that you've been with her behind my back all this time. These kits will be ThunderClan, and they will never, never know who you are! Stoneshadow: *Sigh* Fine. I guess me and Brightwhisker will have kits. I don't need any pitiful ThunderClan kits around me.
