What Sets Us Apart | Story When the Seleah meets two odd-looking siblings, they claim that they are Kelkazi - aliens. Then there's a slight complication with travel arrangements when the Kelkazi's spacecraft is destroyed. The aliens are stranded - and there are only a limited amount of people who can know their true identity. Otherwise, there'll be trouble. >>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>>><<<>>><< So I've been wanting to write an alien story for some time now, and this is the idea I've started writing on. It's quite simple, but I'm pleased with the characters. The aliens themselves were based on Tumblr posts - there are loads of mini alien/human stories out there. That was before the Crash. There had been a lot of heat and dust, the temperature had gone up five degrees in less than a second - a major temperature change to the Kelkazi, who were used to a steady environment. The wreckage itself contained surprises, two things, in particular, shocked them the most. The first, there were Terrans on that craft. They'd sent Terrans, some of there own kind, to space. Even with the risk of a crash. Were they really that naive? The second unprecedented discovery was the coding in the craft. The Kelkazi hadn't realised that the Terrans (dominant species on Earth) were capable of sending such a complicated missile into space - true, it had veered off course, probably due the planet Kelkaz's gravitational pull - but still, the machine's coding was a whole lot more complex than what they had expected. This made the Kelkazi uneasy. Had they underestimated the Terrans? No. That concept was alien to them. However, just to make sure... It was ready within a rotation of the planet. The two minors, on male and one female, were in the craft, waiting to leave. The Kelkazi had checked and double-checked all the security, health and safety measures - this was one of their longest flights into space. The minors would send back information via the craft as they find out more about Earth. Minors visiting the planet would seem less threatening, they hoped that the Terrans wouldn't attack. It was time to go. It was time to find out what they did on the distant, primitive, planet Earth. >>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>>><<<>>><< Oh, and imagination plus reckless curiosity, sets humans apart. That's kinda the point of the story. :)
