Welcome to Pilot V2! a remastered version of my first scratch game. Pilot the UFO through the clouds to reach the green portal. If you crash into clouds your ship gets damaged. Fix your ship and buy upgrades and weapons in the shop. ================================================== Controls: WASD to move H to hover (no gravity) SPACE to fire laser Q to warp E to enter shop (if touching) ================================================== Clouds: White clouds- normal clouds that will damage your ship if you hit them, and destroy your ship if you hit them while damaged Storm clouds- dark clouds that will destroy your ship when touched unless you have a shield. Lasers- red lasers will do the same as storm clouds, but are blocked by shields Plasma- orange plasma lasers or plasma clouds will instantly destroy a shield below mk4. don't touch. Black clouds- instant death. the ultimate defense. ================================================== Upgrades: Fix ship- repairs the ship Shield I- a green shield that can absorb 2 damage Shield II- a blue shield that absorbs 4 damage Shield III- a purple 4-section shield that absorbs 8 damage Warp thrusters- allows the user to teleport to a location within 175 units distance every 10 seconds Laser MK II- a new blue laser that can destroy tougher enemies Speed boost I- a nice 25% boost to the ship's speed Warp thrusters II- a new warp thruster allows for 300 units range Corrective thrusters- passive, greatly decreases the glide the ship experiences as well as eliminates gravity. Shield IV- the top tier shield, able to absorb 16 damage. the ultimate protection. can even take a hit from plasma. ================================================== About: My original pilot game was a very simple game in theory, buy i used way too many scripts to do what i could have done with less. the physics were laggy and the clouds didn't work right. in this version i have streamlined the physics scripts, and fixed numerous bugs. i have also used logic that allows me to easily add more levels without manually coding each one. for details see the credits page. ================================================== Updates: BETA 1.0 - 20 levels. (i know it's kinda bad) thanks to my sister for helping design some levels. the motion scripts are quite simple feel free to copy them. if you want to see the original pilot visit my profile. ================================================== the original: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/93091103/ music by foreverbound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH_pWAp2et0 ================================================== pro tips: buy warp anything above shield 3 is useless lasers are good corrective thrusters are OP don't touch the black stuff. you have a gun, USE IT! ================================================== details: i fixed the lag by decreasing the amount of scripts running at the same time. i used more broadcasts and less variables to manage things such as the shop. the new physics set a minimum velocity at which the ship will ricochet off the clouds. if it is lower, the velocity will be increased. this prevents losing more lives than you are supposed to when you hit a cloud at low speeds. i also fixed the multi hit damage bug where you would lose your entire shield instantly, all it took was the use of broadcast and WAIT instead of just broadcast.
