Just watch! When you get to the slides, use the space bar or the right and left arrow keys to switch slides. Hope you enjoy!:) Btw, here is all the information that I showed in the project(the spacing is just to show how the info was separated in each slide): Intro For Humanities(which is English, Reading, and Social Studies combines), we got to choose books to read and annotate from a book list[I will include the book names when I find them]. In Computer Science, we chose a scene where the main character is included or excluded because of their identity. To make sense of this, our unit question for Humanities is "What aspects of identity can cause an individual to be included or excluded from a community?" I chose the book So B. It, which I won't include a summary of for people who don't like blurbs, but you can check it out here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/237320.So_B_It?from_search=true. This is the excerpt I decided to animate: "I used to sit on Mama's lap at the window, and we'd both laugh when the sparrows landed on the sill, or when cars honked their horns below in the street(I'll see if I can add the sentences in the animation). Why My Scene Shows how the Characters are Included or Excluded because of their Identity(if you don't want background information about the book then you can skip this part) In the book So B. It by Sarah Weeks, Heidi reflects on times when she and her mom wanted to go outside, but their neighbor Bernadette, or Bernie, wouldn't allow them, so they would sit at the window and laugh at birds tweeting and cars honking outside. Bernie didn't let them outside because she thought it would be dangerous because Heidi was too young, and Heidi's mother was disabled, so she wouldn't be able to function outside well enough, meaning that an accident could(in the slides it says may) happen. Heidi's mom's disability prevented her from having the right words to explain her thoughts. She also took time learning simple thing like tying her shoes. This means that she might not know if something or someone is dangerous so she might use the thing or interact with the person. Also, Bernie had agoraphobia so she herself thought that the outside world was dangerous(I explain what agoraphobia is and how it affected Bernie but if you didn't read the slide you can search it up). Heidi and her mom were excluded from the outside world, yet they included each other because of their exclusion. If you read all the way to here, comment "soof!":)
