Click space key for next slide. I was looking through random profiles the other day (as you do) and then I came across a comment that I found both untrue and unfair. It stated that males could not be feminists, and if they are then they are weird. I will not go naming people because I understand that many people have that view on feminism, but that is just not how it is. Feminism is about fighting for gender equality and believing in women's rights. It does not matter your gender, you can believe in female rights if you are a male OR female. Just think about all the famous men who have fought for gender equality. John Legend, Obama, Daniel Radcliffe, and so many others. And honestly, if men were not involved in the feminist movement, do you really think feminism would have gone anywhere? Therefore, after reading that careless comment, I was inspired to create a project that would share the idea that not all feminists are female. (see disclaimer below please). I'd love to hear what you think in the comments, so please leave some feedback! Thanks for reading (:
I used various sites to find images and information on male feminism. I am willing to admit that it is extremely difficult to find unbiased information on the subject although I have tried to use facts, not opinion. Music is Unity by TheFatRat DISCLAIMER: I am aware that the view of feminism has become corrupt and now many people view feminism as sexist or just negative. Feminism was created to help promote gender equality, although it has to some degree become an issue where some feminists believe women are, or should be, better. That is not the feminism I am talking about in this project. I am talking about gender equality and the fact that all genders should be equal and have equal rights. I am an equalist not a feminist for this reason.
