(GORE WARNING) Eyy guess who actually made an original animation for once? ME HA HA YES So this is Ram's backstory. I won't tell the whole thing but her father, Oak, gets killed by her stepmother, Red, so she can become queen and Ram is chased out as a possible witness. As she's running away, the deputy, Pepper Steak, catches her and tears her arm off. She gets away, injured but alive and meets Lance. Lance was supposed to be king, but Red killed his father too and chased him away as well. Ram can't accept the bitter truth.
