Welcome to one of the world's first video games! It is called Pong! Try to keep the ball from hitting your side! W and S- Move P1 Paddle Up and Down arrows- Move P2 Paddle A little history on Pong: The first real Pong game was created in the 70s. The company Magnavox created it. It was called virtual table tennis. What you did was hooked up the big brown box to the small television. There were two sides on the box with little circular spinners. You spun them to move your paddle. People thought it was awesome! About five years later, a small group of people decided to make an even better tennis game! They found two problems with Magnavox's game. The game did not speed up and there was nothing that showed the score, so when you beat somebody, you didn't really feel like you beat them. They finally finished it. It was the first arcade game! The group decided to first put it into bars and restaurants. It became such a big hit, companies made arcades and more games were created! And do you know what that small group grew into? Atari! Yep! This is why coding is a good skill to learn. You could become very successful some day as long as you keep dreaming!
I give credit to Magnavox, the company with the real credit to inventing Pong! I also give credit to Atari, the company that made this version.
