Hey there, guys, gals, and non-binary pals (I love that so much XD)! 2018's right around the corner, and we're looking back at 2017. But you're thinking, 'oh, no, Cynda, let's not do politics here'. Of course not! I'm talking music! 2017 has had many great artists coming forward with there creations, like St. Vincent, Sylvan Esso, grandson, Tash Sultana, and Purity Ring, to name a few (If you've heard of any of those, let me know and I will give you a cookie). So with all of this, I've configured a playlist of great music I've been listening to and will listen to in 2018! This will most likely be new for you, so I'm calling it your new 2018 playlist! Please please please listen to this songs, they're so wonderful and they might inspire you like they do me <3 Unfortunately, I can't put songs in the project because iTunes is hard and I'm not a pirate. I will give links to places where you can listen to the songs I've picked out easily and freely. Please enjoy! A Side Note: Feel free to tell me what songs or artists you like so I can listen! I love finding new, good music. I can't wait to see your suggestions!
1. Conqueror - AURORA - Conqueror is a song from maybe two years ago, but I found it recently, and it's fun to hear. The drums and the voice are so wonderful, and really work in harmony. Crystals - Of Monsters And Men - Of Monsters And Men is a great band with awesome music, but I specifically like this song since I think it's got a real Skyrim/Dungeons And Dragons feel, and it paints a great picture in your mind. Plus, the beat. THE BEAT. Crystals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUClIslXKZo 3. Mess Is Mine - Vance Joy - This song is a beautifully crafted, acoustic guitar and voice, entertaining song by a very cool artist. It's really sweet, and the emotion portrayed in it is absolutely astounding. Definitely a must-listen in my book! Mess Is Mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUClIslXKZo 4. It Will Never Be Enough - Vesperteen - This song is a very quick and exciting song, with many interesting elements that make it well-composed. The intro is great, the singer is great, the lyrics are great. What else can I say? - WARNING - One curse word. Listen at your own will. It Will Never Be Enough: https://soundcloud.com/vesperteen-1/it-will-never-be-enough-1 5. Chameleon - Satellite Stories - Chameleon is probably my favorite song this year. It's got amazing vocals, a great beat, and really tells a story. Out of all of these, please listen to this. It's so great. Chameleon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-hQ2uV7LSE 6. Hard To Find - Khushi - Hard To Find really stands out in the crowd, and seems like it would really fit in with a creepy, flashing lights sort of music genre. The singer's voice is very controlled, but you can really feel the power and thought behind it. Hard To Find: https://soundcloud.com/khushimusic/hard-to-find-3 7. The Way - HAERTS - The Way is a very creative song, using only drums, a piano, and a beautiful voice in it's making. It's really meaningful, with the emotions conveyed and the D&D elements, like "the woman of the flowers" and "the gods and heavens of communion". It's a duet sung by a guy and a gal, sung very smoothly along with an electric guitar, and it's just quite an experience to listen to. very meaningful, very awesome. Peaches: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4zbFEHZbOU 9. Hollow Moon - AWOLNATION - Now, this is a pretty loud and intense song, so I get it if that's not your thing, but please try it out! The guitar is really well played, and the lyrics are clever, fun to listen to, really. It's a good head-nodding song! - WARNING - One curse word. Listen at your own will. Hollow Moon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2PsXT88UeU 10. Sun Goes Down - Robin Schulz - Mkay, so do y'all remember than one song we all liked in the summer of 2016? "Willow", by Jasmine Thompson? yeah, that one. So this song combines Thompson's amazing vocals with the clever and astounding music and beats of Robin Schulz. I first heard this at a (hip?) juice bar (since that's a thing on the coast) in Los Angeles (I go there in the summer), and I've been hooked ever since. This is AMAZING!!!! Sun Goes Down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo4cmTaEDIk 11. Something Just Like This - Coldplay - Okay, you've probably heard this one a while ago, but I re-listened to it, thinking about some of my new OCs and how they'd fit into this song, and I like it more now! It's pretty good! Something Just Like This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM7MFYoylVs 12. Hero - Family Of The Year - Yep, this was kind of popular too, but it's wonderful vocals and acoustic guitar was just too much to resist. Just a meaningful song that was appreciated, and should be more appreciated. Hero: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHeK0Cwr9sg 13. Neopolitan Dreams - Lisa Mitchell - Okay, probably my second favorite song. The precious vocals and delicate bells, along with the piano(?) and guitar(?) are great. I don't even care what the instruments are, but the lyrics are so emotional and meaningful <3 Neopolitan Dreams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RowAc-H3EM ------------------ Alright, thanks for reading, and hopefully listening! Happy New Year, I love you all!!! *hugs for all* ~ Cynda 2017, 10:02 pm, Pacific Time
