Use this program to see which team will win if you were playing one of the two team-based modes in the Ridge Racer 7 game. To use this program: 1. Click on 2 Teams or Pair Battle. 2. Both modes have different win conditions, read to learn more. If you clicked on "2 Teams", click "Let's Go!" to continue. 3. Click the left and right arrows to change the number of players on each team in 2 Teams mode, or to change the amount of teams and the number of teams with 2 players in Pair Battle. You can also click Random. Click "OK!" to accept. The program will automatically put the players into the appropriate teams based off the selected settings. 4. Use the Up and Down arrows to select a player. Use the left and right arrows to change a player's race position. Click the Random button, and the program will randomly select the positions the players obtain. To quickly enter a player's result, press SPACE, enter a player number and the player's position. Click "All Done" to submit the results. 5. You will see who won in the Final Results screen. To enter a new result, you will need to click the Green Flag. Have fun!
This project is about studying how Ridge Racer 7 determines which team wins in a team-based mode. I did all the coding myself. The rules and point systems are borrowed directly from the Ridge Racer 7 game. Note 1: The only thing that matters is the positions the players finish in; the times have no effect on determining the winner. Simply enter a player number and which position the player finished in. Note 2: The sum of the teams' points in 2 Teams mode will always equal 18, and no matter the number of players, 1st and 2nd will always earn 10 and 8 points, respectively. Note 3: Presumably because of the numerous team combinations possible that allow unbalanced teams with an even number of players, the lower positions carry negative points; this is to ensure each team has a chance of winning, especially when it is just 1 player on one team going up against a whopping 13 players on the opposing team.
