Well, heck. This took me a week to actually finish. Procrastination strikes again. But her legs still look strange. An' her hair is starting to change, I've noticed. It ain't so loose anymore. Mm. (Is her hair possessed? ooooh) I think I'm getting too accustomed to drawing tightly-curled hair. (Which you'd probably have to set in rollers or pin curls every night. Doesn't sound like something Jan'd want to do. Sometimes I don' even wanna do it. I'm too lazy.) oooh. a couple days after i write all this stuff is when i come up with an excuse. Okay, so Jan set her hair in a similar way in the 20s, righ?' (pin curling it) And she's not exactly excited to have it trimmed or anything, so she just lets it grow and do whatever while she keeps setting it in pin curls, which is why it looks more '40s than '31-'37. what an explanation. Dx I also feel like you should be able to see some of her thigh from the way the belt is placed, and that the shirt shouldn't be as tightly tucked in, but whatever. Heck, if I had experience drawing dudes, maybe it'd be more fun than drawing the same dudette. I need to give her a different facial expression, too. Surely she doesn't hold the same dour expression all day. But maybe it's natural. I should figure out how to draw guys and sketch out Lanin an' Manfred. I bet they'd be pretty fun to doodle. An' then I'd probably draw Greta. But heck, I don't even really know what they look like. (Such as the way I can figure out how to draw Jan's face. I don' know what facial features the rest of my people have. Dx) So I guess I basically just had the essence of Jan's face somewhere in my head and eventually got around to getting it out in a drawing, and all of a sudden, oh, hey, I know what Jan looks like, now, and I can draw her in my strange (yeah, cartoony weird thing-style) way and tha's the way she looks. (in a stylized manner, though xD) (I don't think there's a head on this planet that could portray her face the way it should be, anyway. so I'm stuck with my styled rendition of my characters. cool.) But I really don't care. I know what Jan looks like. but it was just chance. oh well. an i just realized that the heels of her boots are uneven. who makes one heel wider than the other?
