So here is my entry! (P.S. sorry the quality messed up when transferred scratch and that I wrote a lot) Ceazure: Age: 25 (In human years) Gender: Male Role: Villain Species: Fox Job: Previously was a Ribbon Checker Backstory: Animals knowing Ceazure while he was growing up didn't know where he came from. An old couple had found him near the edge of the village, hungry and alone. He was found with pupils shaped like lightning bolts. They decided to take him in, as they wanted took look after their child once more. Their child had grown up and left the village, questing for glory and adventure. Ceazure had been normal growing up. He was incredibly smart. By the time he was 16 (human years) He was an apprentice to a ribbon checker and had been quite good at helping those who were becoming dismal and sad. He was still not able to heal ripped ribbons, but his mentor said he would be able to one day. Many people had thought poorly of him because foxes were not usually trustworthy. Soon, his mentor ran out of Hylia leaves (needed for healing torn ribbons), so she sent Ceazure to get some in the next village over, which was blocked by a forest. As Ceazure was going through the forest, he disturbed into a giant, powerful brown bear. Ceazure tried to run, but the bear was much faster and ripped off the ribbons around his head and leaving him with bear claw scars before leaving him for dead. It wasn't long before Ceazure went mentally insane from the ripped ribbon being connected to his brain. He wandered off into the forest taking rests with whatever sanity he had left. He made himself a base to live in and filled it with technology to stay safe in his less sane moments. Through his training as a ribbon checker, he had learned of the magic that connected an animal with its ribbon. This power could be used in horrible or powerful ways. Finding more information in other towns that did not know him, Ceazure had wanted to harness this power to know about his past, who his parents were or why he was left to starve. Yet, taking the magic from a ribbon, even if separated from its owner, would kill whoever was the owner. Plague: Age: 11 (In human years) Gender: Male Species: Bat Role: Villain Henchman of some sorts Job: Apprentice of Ceazure Backstory: After Ceazure's incident with the bear, by dark, he had found little Plague whimpering in the dark. His ribbons were darker, showing how sad he was. His face was all bruised up. Ceazure, being trained to help sadness, started throwing out random puns and jokes, trying to make him feel better, trying his best to stay sane. Plague had laughed and his ribbons lightened a bit in color. Plague stayed with Ceazure, but every time Ceazure tried to ask about Plague's past or where he came from, he would become very quiet and his ribbons would darken. Plague seemed to be going through a sort of depression, and by the looks of it to Ceazure, he wasn't really accepted, wherever he came from. By morning, Plague had to stay in the shadows, for the sunlight hurt his eyes. The two stuck together, making each other feel happy. Ceazure was the only one Plague seemed to have, and went along with him in every way, even when Ceazure went a bit insane. Once they had created the base (building at night to help with Plague's eye problem), Ceazure created a mask that would stop sunlight from hurting Plague's eyes, for it was the brightness that bothered his eyes. Plague went along with Ceazure's motives, and even though he was happy with Ceazure around, whatever happened in the past kept his ribbon darker than its original color.
Yep. I just went off with some ideas since there wasn't much said about the world of these ribbon characters. If you are in need of some ideas for your series, you could have animals who steal ribbons for the magic or to take it hostage to gain money or something... I don't know if ribbons are connected to emotions or a power or something. I kidda assumed that a completely ripped ribbon would be hard to fix if a fully ripped ribbon would cause a lasting disease, where as a torn ribbon would cause like a cold.
