Use the arrow keys to swim, tapping performs one stroke in the direction of the arrow key pressed. Go to the temple and grab the treasure, but the moment you do the sharks will come after you. If you get back to the sail boat they will stop chasing you but even more sea creatures will be in your way for the next treasure.
