Brendan is an S160 2-8-0 tender engine. He was built in 1945 by the Baldwin locomotive works in the United States of America and was the last of his class. Upon completion he was shipped to the UK along with other members of his class to help out the wrecked railways of Europe during the second world war. Brendan would pull countless trains across the line until the war finally ended. He was then bought by the GTR to help with goods work during a population boom. He still works there, usually pulling freight but occasionally he gets to haul passenger trains as well. Here we can see Brendan with an excursion train on the mainline near the hills. There is another frame of him on a short goods train.
