The BYF (pronounced BEEF) Layout by @VegetableNinja -type -click on the colors/colours to change letter color -hold tab or click the keyboard icon in the lower-left corner to see the layout -release tab or click the keyboard again to hide the layout -press ctrl + backspace to clear The QWERTY layout is intentionally inefficient, to slow your typing down. Back when we used typewriters, if we typed too fast, the arms would get stuck. The most frequently used letters are spread out, making it harder to reach them. This layout didn't change when we switched to keyboards (good ol' stubborn america). The BYF layout places the most frequently used letters and puts them in the home row. They are also more towards the middle of the keyboard, since the index finger is easier and more comfortable to use. The vowels are on the left side and the consonants are on the right side, making an efficient, hand-alternating layout. I got a few key detectors from @griffpatch and @The_Hacker -Backspace -Shift -Special characters -Tab -Enter
