I chose: Rapture. ~Andrew Ryan These were the famous words of Andrew Ryan, a man who followed the philosophies of Ayn Rand that believed what a man earned should not be tampered with by governments, religion, or those weaker than him. He proceeded to build Rapture, a city under the sea filled with Art-Deco architecture, mutated denizens called splicers and young sickly girls followed by their less than gentle giants: the big daddies. In August of 2007, 2K Games, a company well known for it's NBA titles, flipped the scripts and shocked the world with a first person shooter that came to be an icon in the gaming world. The game celebrated 10 years last year and it's next anniversary is in 2032 with 25 years. A blast from the past in gaming that, despite being only 11 years ago, has most certainly gone down as legend in video gaming. Bioshock takes place in a 1960 where technology has advanced beyond today but maintained the style of the early 1900s. It's a pure stroke of genius.
