Welcome to the Graph Generator, you maths lovers! (and everyone else). This is a (very rudimentary) copy of sites like Desmos. WARNING: If you aren't into graphs and stuff, you probably won't understand anything below this. HOW IT WORKS: Just in case you don't know, a graph is made by a function, for example y=2x. In this project, you will be able to make a function with up to seven terms: x cubed, x squared, x, one, one over x, on over x squared and one over x cubed. When you click the green flag, you will be asked for 'Term 1'. This will be your 'x cubed' term, so, if you enter the number 7, for example, the first term will be '7 x cubed. The next term (Term 2) will be multiplied by x squared: you will be adding it on to the first term. So, if you entered '-3', the full function so far would be '7 x cubed - 3 x squared'. The next term (Term 3) would be multiplied by x, which you would be adding to your existing function. Term 4 will be by itself: it won't be multiplied by x at all. Term 5 is divided by x: if you enter 2, it will be '2 over x'. Term 6 is divided by x squared (answer over x squared) Term 7 is divided by x cubed (answer over x cubed) If you ever want to leave a term out, just leave the answer blank.
Well, the idea for this just popped into my head about a week before I shared it, and with a little help from other people, but mostly my own ingenuity, I finished it. I would tell you it's made 100% in pen, but I'm too modest for that.
