This was Ivor's first sleepover. He was so reclusive and shy that at 11 this was his FIRST EVER ONE. Ivor didn't care about that. He only cared that Harper was coming. The sweet girl with the bunches. Friendly, but not too prying. Kind, but not constantly there. That was one thing he liked about her. That she knew he had to be alone sometimes. It wasn't just that. She was funny. She was smart. She understood people. And, of course, he had a huge crush on her. He didn't know what she felt. But at least they would be together. Not just them. A whole load of other people. His friends. Ellegaard. Magnus. Gabriel. Soren. Hadrian, Mevia and Otto. That was... a lot of people. Especially for Ivor. He reached into his big bag to stroke his toy fox, Amber. Nobody knew he had her. He didn't really WANT anyone to know, especially Harper. Ivor took a deep breath and walked inside. There they were. All of his friends. And he tried to keep cool. They watched a movie. He sat next to Harper. Had junk for dinner. He ate whatever Harper ate. And then they played Truth or Dare. First, Magnus asked Otto who he'd most like to be stuck on an island with, to which Otto replied: "Soren. He could build a bridge to the nearest continent." Magnus wasn't pleased with this answer, but he kept quiet. Then, eventually, Ivor was asked: "Who do you like?" He started to breathe faster. His heartbeat quickened. He started to sweat. And then Mevia said: "He has to KISS whoever he likes." After a while, as boldly as he could muster, Ivor said one word. "Harper." The silence hung in the air, and Ivor hurriedly walked out of the room. But, in the doorway, Harper caught him. "I know what I'm supposed to say, but I'm not going to say it." and then she kissed him. It caught Ivor by surprise. But it was only a quick one. She grinned and said: "Words are overrated."
