So basically, one large level made up of a 960x720 pixels, at 2x zoom, with the camera following the player, which can move around the level. people can make objects, animations, etc. that will appear and scroll accordingly, resulting in one large, lively, interactive work of art. The main level would have to be designed and drawn by 2-5 REALLY dedicated artists, not only is this big, but it has to look nice up close and in general without being too eye catching.... The rest can be made by everyone, wither it's a little hut, a shrub, or a fight scene that's animated, anything can be put in! All you do is make a small project with your animation, and it'll be implemented into the global project, just like scratch cat and what's-his/her-name are in this example. If you want to have paralax, or specific scaling, all you have to do is let us know, and it'll be done. More notes: -This idea's strong point is easy moderation and organization while allowing everyone to make something. -The BG dosen't have to be forcefully made by a few people, if someone makes some nice looking clouds, they can be used for the BG. If someone makes cool trees, they may also be used. There is no promising though that the original will be used, so much as a modified version... -The BG can be tiled, as in composed of tiles, like many games. This would make it easier to get started, as randomization and stuff can later be modified. -We might want to decide a style so as to make things somewhat more consistent.
