Here is what none of you asked for~ So starting off here, This ship is absolutely adorable. This may sound weird, but when I FIRST watched Voltron, for the FIRST time, when I saw the scene where both Lance, the gang, and Keith came to save Shiro, I actually said "Oh well I ship it" out loud. Keep in mind that I didn't remember their names, nor did I have any idea what was going to happen. It's just THAT shippable. Secondly, They're red and blue. COME ON! Everyone knows that the red and blue children get together most of the time, they even had it in Legend of Korra! Thirdly, They are so-called rivals, so that makes their relationship more interesting from the start. Tbh looking at their little moments makes you wonder 'Are they REALLY rivals? REALLY now?' Fourthly, It is a VERY popular ship with A LOT of shippers and fan art, fanfictions, headcannons, etc. It's pretty beautiful. I mean, even JEREMY SHADA(Lance's voice actor) SHIPS IT! Also a few other things.. Here are a few examples of the fandom and Jeremy Shada's quotes about it: 1. Jeremy in a livestream: "I mean Keith's birthday is all that's left! Maybe he's a Scorpio! That's a water sign! And weird how it's like a love match with Leo's, which Lance is. Maybe they're soulmates!" --Note: KEITH'S BIRTHDAY IS OCTOBER 23RD, MAKING HIM A SCORPIO!! SCREEEEEEE I CANT IM SH O O K-- 2. Lauren Montgomery confirmed in an interview that Keith doesn't reciprocate Lance's rivalry and only ever participates in their tug-of-war when goaded into it by Lance. 3. "It would definitely be cool to have some more moments between him [Lance] and Keith as their rivalry kind of turns into a- YOU KNOW" - Jeremy Shada 4. Apparently some fan asked Jeremy about LGBT rep in VLD at TBCC and he said "I can't say, but don't worry. You'll be happy.” ---Tell me if this is correct or not because I will scream. 5. The French dub of Voltron, at the part where Keith says "I cradled you in my arms," can be translated to "It was a very intense moment! I rocked/cradled you tenderly in my arms!"( C'était fut un moment très intense! Je t'ai bercé tendrement dans mes bras! [See inside for example.]) And that's very gay like whOA- Common comments from the fandom about Klance: "Well, they won't make an LGBT+ relationship in Voltron! It's for little kids!" My response to that: Honestly, Klance actually has a decent chance. Not only is it loved by the fandom, Jeremy Shada ships it hARD, and all of the reasons I posted above, there has actually been an LGBT+ relationship in DreamWorks before. Legend of Korra[LOK] had an LGBT+ relationship between Korra and another female [Red and blue] at the end of the season. LOK was rated 8+, while Voltron is rated 8+ as well. Actually, parents and kids say it should be rated 10+, so I mean- Also, Blatz is a possible LGBT+ character in Voltron, look it up. "But it's gay! They won't do it." My response: Look above m8 "Ew Klance-- *anti screaming* KLANCE IS TERRIBLE >:00 AN G E RY SOUNDS" My response: mk so chill out and think for a moment, is it really worth getting triggered over a T.V show ship? Let people have their ships, like you have your own. Weather it's Shidge, Klance, Hidge, Shance, Kallura(even though I personally dislike this), it doesn't matter. It's a ship, let people be happy for their ships, read fanfictions, make art, whatever they want.
