Be original! - This will stay open until I have at least 5 entries and the month of March is over. If either requirement is not met, the contest is still open. Anyone who has commented that they are entering will be allowed to finish once I have 5, but no one else will be able to join. - Fandoms are allowed, but you may only use characters you own or that are from the original series. (In other words, don't steal other's character designs, even if they are related to a fandom.) - Use the blue banner's second form in your thumbnail. Tips: - Shade, shade, shade! It can help your art a lot. - Try using other programs! - Come up with a creative background. - Add music. - Animate! Just somethin' small. An eye blink or an ear twitch. - Add patterns or accessories. Examples: (Space to advance.) Example 1: EXCELLENT! 9.5/10 The shading is consistent, the character design is intriguing and stands out from the background. The only thing holding it back is the simple background that could have bit more work. Example 2: Poor. 1/10 The colors, background and character are very busy, and there is nothing to draw your eye toward the character. The shading is inconsistent and done with a gradient, which rarely works in the artist's favor. Example 3: Alright. 4/10 Once again, the shading is inconsistent, but at least the colors make sense together, if being bland as all get out makes sense. The cave background is uninspired, but this still shows some understanding of how backgrounds work. (-_- Using the prizes from last 2 CCs when close to no one entered. Please help.)
