Meira; meaning light in hebrew ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meria is a princess of a royal family, her family line has been protecting thier kingdom from shadow beasts for centries, in every room of every house there is a candle, or an oil lamp, keeping the shadow beasts at bay with their soft warm light. They keep all lights lit with their powers. It was the young harvest moon, an event that happened every 100 years, a date in which only a sliver of brillant yellow orange harvest moon can be seen; and when the shadow beasts are at their strongest. On this evenning all the villagers gather within the castle walls, in the great hall, with thousands of lit candles floating in the air. Everyone was gathered in the great hall, fearing what would happen when the shadow beasts came. An otherworldly howl sounded in the distance. The Shadow beasts had come. Everyone who was gathered in the great hall were told to disperse up stairs in safer parts of the castle. Meria and her parents were left to gaurd the door. The blood-curtling howls got closer. Meria could hear there alien wolf like paws digging into the earth coming nearer and nearer. There was a great thud against the castle doors. They were here and there was no stopping them. The floating candles in the great hall started to flicker and go out one by one. The shadow beasts were getting stronger. With each passing second the thuds got louder and stronger. The wood began to spinter, the hinges began to screech, the bar began to crack. Meria braced herself, resisting the erdge to run and hide. she'd never been in such a dangerous situation before. then the doors broke open with a huge blam......
