Here is how to do it: 1) Drag the magnesium ribbon (the light grey metal on the right) in the crucible (metal pot). 2) Drag the lid of the crucible on. 3) Click the Bunsen burner (the dark grey thing at the bottom) to light it. 4) After about five seconds (in real life, this would be about five minutes), turn off the Bunsen burner, take the lid off and click on the crucible to get out the magnesium oxide. =+=+= THE SCIENCE =+=+= You have witnessed the magnesium getting hot and reacting with the oxygen. The two bond (join) together to make magnesium oxide. The mass of the magnesium ribbon before the reaction will be lower than the mass of it after the reaction.
