Story: Darkleaf looks at motionless Reuben, alone, after Cinderstripe and Blueleaf had left and she had lost Dark Cinder. The story goes backwards to when Reuben was younger, afraid and confused. He intimidated the lost souls of the realm, acting as a sort of Warden. Dark Cinder and Darkleaf looked as though they were thinking about something. Reuben, still confused, decided to walk off for a while to think. He gets riled up because he is tired of being ordered around by the others and wants to be treated as their equal, not like the little brother. Still angered, he raises his head and sees something that he'd never seen before. It was a portal, and it looked like it led to the outside world. He spotted two cats hurrying nearby the portal, and Reuben wondered if he should investigate it.
