Use the arrows to navigate the simple player (blue dot) around the map. The map consists of 4 separate pictures laid in a 2x2 grid. I know there's some sort of glitch when traveling far off the map but it is irrelevant because in my game the player is bounded by the road and would never be there in the first place.
To make the tiles I made one large image 960x720 which is 2x wider and higher than the scratch screen, that way I could cut it into four tiles. I'm making my own version of Stick RPG and I wanted to figure out this algorithm apart from my game so I didn't get too confused. I'm sure this little tutorial will help people out! Be sure to give credit and happy Scratching!
