The Land of the Blue is well known for it's oceanic monsters, and the five islands that scatter throughout the area. The world itself is made up of big and small islands, rather than continents. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Islands *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* To the NorthWest, the island of Ninch rests. It's northernmost peaks are well below freezing, while the Destructed Forest has a warm, tropical climate. It has a rather stout volcano in the center of the island called Mt. Nothrath, given it's name for the "wrath" or damage it has caused. To the SouthEast, Aseroth lies. It is the biggest island and is shaped like a classic peninsula. It's natural attraction is the Mi'escient Pines that outline it's SouthWestern borders. This long, weaving trail of pines is what protects the nearing town from the Squid Lairs. Rotht lies in the far NorthEast. Cold weather normally blows from the West, so Rotht does not experience much harsh weather. Life there is calm. Seas are friendly, and they trade often with Nasalotion. The geography is plain, and there are no mountain ranges or major forests. Nasalotion is the center most island, in the high North. They have a large supply of meat from the Dreamlit Forest, which they trade for maize and other tropical vegetables with Rotht. They have a wide dock making this easy. While Nasalotion is small, it is a busy island with much going on. Far out of reach is Monaum, in the SouthWestern corners. It is mostly isolated from the other islands; the great Serpent blocks off all contact with Ninch, and the Squid Lair prevents them from reaching out to Aseroth. Harsh, cold weather ensues. One great city in the northernmost reaches thrives, and a mysterious village in the far South. Most have not been able to survive without help from other islands and such harsh weather. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Oceans *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* The Blue Layers get their name for the many loft-like plates of sand and rock jutting out from the lower parts of islands. This makes it perfect for the Squid Lair for them to inhabit. These waters provide a lot for Aseroth, but the Western regions are deathly cold. The Blue Warmth gets its name from the warm climate. It helps Nasalotion, Aseroth, and Rotht thrive. The waters are deep and clear, and seemingly bottomless. The Blue Serm is the coldest of all three seas. The top layers are liquid, but about fifteen feet below the surface is a thick layer of ice. Small organisms lurk below the ice, blocked off from the rest of the world in a tank of water made of ice.
