This is not even an exaggeration. These are all things politicians said, only slightly paraphrased, not changing the meaning at all. Pathetic, isn't it? This is a very serious problem, and it's made all the worse by politicians who either lack the empathy or understanding to do anything about children losing their lives, or maybe they are just too selfish about the money they get from the NRA and don't care that the government is supposed to help the people, not themselves. The preamble of the constitution speaks of establishing justice, insuring domestic tranquility, providing for common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty on ourselves and posterity. What politicians are doing now is doing none of those. Instead they are squabbling like children, while actual children are organizing events to try to get something done. They really need to grow up.
