Amélie Florence, was a member of a working class family living in paris she had allways dreamed of lving in one of the colorful town houses near the centere of town. She would turn the first floor into a foralist and live in the top floor with a veiw of the effeil tower poking out of the city. her father consoled her that such a dream was not possible for someone of their economic status. But her mother had always told her "ne jamais abandonner vos rêves, car ils ne se réaliseront jamais si vous faites" or "never give up on your dreams, for they will never come true if you do". In fact these were her mother's last words before she died of some sickness that her family was too poor to help treat. From that day foward, Amélie never let her siblings' teasing get the best of her, and always told her père (father) "c'était le rêve de ma mère de réussir dans la mienne... Je ne laisserai jamais ses rêves en vain!" (It was mother's dream for me to succeed in mine... I will never let her dreams be in vain!) once Amélie was old enough to get a job at the age of 12 she starting working in a textile mill only earning 1 franc (15.2 cents) a day. Every day she worked hard and saved up her money to make her dream be true. By the time she was 16, most of her siblings had moved out and started familes of their own else where. Her père was now older and gray, his eyes beginning to blind. Amélie had lost her job at the texile mill in order to take care of him. She used up half of her savings to get him into the hosiptal. the doctors diagnosed him with something quite serious for someone of their economic status. One day he slipped into a coma; the doctors did not execpt him to recover. Amélie cried and prayed to the stars in the night sky hoping with all her heart that the angels and her mother would hear her plea. The brightest star in the sky twinkeld brightly then a shooting star flashed through the sky has her tears rolled down her face. Behind her she heard the soft raspy voice of her father say " ma précieuse petite fleur, je crois en toi... tu as les yeux de ta mère; si pleins d'espoir et de joie, ne les laissez pas être triste" (my precious little flower, i believe in you you have your mother's eyes; so full of hope and joy, do not let them be sad.) over the next few days he had healed miraculously. It was like a miracle had happened, her mother and the angels had heard her... the hosiptal had given her and her father a large sum of money for misdagnoising him and for casuing their family so much stress. in the next few months her father had completely recovered and they were working in the same paper factory. after 2 months Amélie and her father had saved up enough money to buy small townhouse down town... her dream was just around the corner from becoming true... nowadays, Amélie and her aged père can be found at the same shop, which they have expanded the building and now even have a flower cart her newphews help pull around the market place of paris. her floral shop was successful, and her dream had come true. Amélie knew now that her mother was with her and had helped her every step of the way...
