Press arrow keys to navigate left and right, I have a few progress pictures and the palette I used.
I made this artwork entirely in Scratch. Even the palette was made in Scratch, and taken from some other project I'm still working on. So this is a character named Auran, who I'm going to try to make my new account mascot, or something. He can see the aura of others, kinda like infrared vision, but instead of tracking heat he can see the trail of one's life energy, until a certain point, when the trail stops. The aura he sees also looks different, depending on the personality or intent of the person he's tracking. Vectors are an interesting way to make art. You can easily reposition lines later on, in case you decide part of your artwork looks bad. You can group multiple parts of your artwork together to move them as one. And each block of color you add is a separate layer, requiring you to get creative in order to create any specific designs that you want. There's also multiple types of art you can make. A linear style, like this, or perhaps you could try digitally painting. Though, since it's hard to exactly match up the lines of one shape with another, or create square lines, it's not very practical. Overall, Scratch vector art just takes a bunch of editing and adjusting, and trying not to make too many shapes 'cause I don't know if you can remove any of them. So you either shrink down to an extremely small size and hide extra parts, or reuse them.
