He was a very adventurous dessert kitten, always exploring. At this time, the Chocohostiles were not yet known. But when Cocoa became old enough to tend to the marshmallow fields, his beloved parents died. They were eaten by one of the first Chocohostiles to invade the dessert civilization, and Cocoa witnessed it all. He had been heading towards his house after tending the fields when there was a giant rumble and the ground shook. The Dessertians had earthquakes before, but this one was a monster in comparison. And there indeed were monsters. Large, scaled creatures, with a large sweet tooth. The Chocohostiles. The beasts scooped up Dessertians like they were mere marshmallows, and plopped them in their mouths. And right in front of Cocoa, an amber beast grabbed his parents and set them on his tongue. Cocoa tried his hardest to move, but his frosting paws felt like they were frozen into hard chocolate. Helpless, he watched his parents get devoured by a giant monster.
