Shooting doesn't really work at all. Leave suggestions in comments. Here's the method of making the clones "scroll" I made up. It kinda works: Two lists are made, both at first containing every x position of all clones. Second list is always scrollx + first list. Clones are always told to go to item placego, which changes by 1 each time a clone goes to item placego. This repeats 20 times, then placego is reset to one, and the process repeats. Essentially, each clone isn't always in the same position, but there will always be a clone in the place that the original clone should have been.
