Space and Right arrow to proceed, Left arrow to go back (you have to wait for the words to fully appear or else it will get off track, so you also cant spam the button) This is for a social studies project on The Massacre of 1622 in Jamestown, Virginia. This story is being told by a fictional, 25 year-old girl named Catherine Staple, in the early 1600's. She is telling her view of the event, 10 years after it occurred. For those of you who do not know what the Massacre of 1622 is, here is a quick summary. So basically you have the English colony Jamestown and the Powhatan Indians, and the relationship is very unpredictable; there is trading, then kidnapping, and so on. One day the Natives new chief, Opechancanough had enough, so he planned a massacre to drive the Colonists out of their native land. When one of the Natives was told about this, he was against it all and went ahead and tried to warn the colonists, but was too late and was only able to alert a few. When the natives did their sneak attack, they pretended to be friendly, then attacked. Hundreds of colonists died. Then the colonists responded with violence and thats pretty much it.
Thanks to my social studies teacher for always being awesome! All art and story by me ( i would've done more pictures, but i had no time.)
