Hey fellow scratchers. It's been a while since I last made anything here and probably will be a while, so I thought I'd share with you an old engine test that I abandoned. You can walk around using the arrow keys and open and close the doors using A and D, although they don't lead anywhere. This was part of a concept to make a new LEGO game that takes place in a 3D looking environment while still bearing resemblance to the original Random LEGO Game. It mainly uses parallax scrolling on the floor studs, which due to the way it was coded at the time often resulted in graphical glitches of them not loading and the floor texture eventually disappearing entirely. Of course if I were to revisit this any time I know exactly what I would do! In addition the doors and walls use overlapping sprites that scale and rotate to give the effect of 3D polygons.
