Space to start Arrows or WASD to move Dots = 10 points Fruit = 100 points Dodge the ghosts unless you eat a power pellet, then you can chomp a ghost while it's dark blue.
I dunno why this thing is getting so many views... Thought it might get 50, maybe 150. Not 4000. Woah. Tweaked out doodle336's project in hopes to make it run more smoothly. I set the PathFinder to a separate sprite, and rewrote a lot of code. They all follow individual path-finders now, instead of doing timed costume flips. It's pretty well playable. There's a few things I'd like to clean up, such as the way the ghost eyes look. It's not perfect. In fact, you'll run into similar glitches as doodle336's, where he won't line up on the grid sometimes. Try the upper-left corner of the map. I think that was a resizing issue tho, when I exported the map from Scratch. I may have to redraw that so it lines up with the grid. Other than that, he seems to travel well. You can tap the Q button to see some developer codes, to get an idea what's going on behind the scenes. If you decide to change his speed, you'll want to reset the level by clicking the flag, so you zero out your location. Then make sure 16 is divisible by the speed you pick: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 - otherwise he'll run off the map. He skips dots if you turn up the speed tho. I think it has to do with lag from the sound. Maybe the speed of the pen down / pen up command isn't rapid enough. There may be a way to cut down on cycles spent on other non-essential functions as well, but any benefit there will be gobbled up by processing the ghosts once they are implemented, so his speed will 'prolly stay at 2. The Xmod and Ymod variables are important. When they zero out, all is well, and you are lining up with the grid properly. I made it check only one at a time, to try and speed things up, but I may put it back to checking both so it's more strict about staying in alignment with the grid. I guess my inspiration was a comment of doodle336's, where he was just saying "thanks, you can remix it" to someone else. I figured I'd have a go at it and see if I could get anywhere. Once I get the ghosts ironed out, I plan on putting in a color-scan trick so you can make new levels pretty much any color you want. I included a grid-map to help anyone that wants to make a new level, so all your walls and dots line up.
