(press space to see human form) Name: Jiuweihu (sometimes nicknamed Jiu) (Fun fact, Jiuweihu means 'fox spirit') Gender/Pronouns: Female, She/Her Sexuality: Pansexual Age: 2,498 (Appears about 20 in human form) Appearance: Is an orange fox with nine tails. In human form, she has fair skin and dark brown hair. Abilities: Has the ability to shapeshift, and will most commonly take the form of a beautiful young woman. Brief Description: Jiu has been around for a very long time (mostly because of how long these creatures have existed in mythology, as far back as 1st century BC). She possesses quite a bit of superficial charm, but she often has sinister intentions. At the same time, you can never truly know if she has good intentions or not, since she will sometimes assist others (though it could be argued that a lot of these examples were for the purpose of personal gain).
As you can tell, this is based off of the nine-tailed fox spirit that appears in lots of Eastern mythology! I know they're most commonly portrayed as divine beings, but I liked the idea of having one as a demon character. (And in many stories they are portrayed as bad spirits who deceive humans) I tried to be as culturally accurate as possible, and if there are any major inaccuracies please tell me and I'd be happy to fix it! (Also, I know I only drew the fox with five tails but they have nine. I just thought the art would end up being too cluttered if I drew all nine)
