kind of furi spoilers, kinda not since really all the bosses die because you gotta kill em to progress. but god has this fight had me in mega sad boy hours ever since i finished the game :'( PLEASE. PLEASEE if you have the time and money to buy this game on steam, ps, or xbox (actually available on switch recently!!) , DO IT. it really it an indie game you wont forget. here are four reasons why: 1. the storytelling, although minimal, is fantastic. its been a long time since a game really made me feel the way i do, and ive really missed that feeling of emptiness after a game or show, because it was just that good. 2. the art and battles are amazing. if you're not down for bullet hell boss battle game style, there are easier modes than furi (the standard) and there are gameplays online that i could not recommend enough to at least get the story down. the art is amazing too, all the designs are created by the artist that made the designs for afro samurai, and the backgrounds and style of the game is stunning. 3. the voice acting is absolutely phenomenal. i havent heard the japanese or french versions yet (which im curious about), but the voice really killed it, and so did every other boss. heck, it really immerses you, ya know? 4. THE MUSIC!! the synth soundtrack made by artists like carpenter brut, danger, waveshaper, etc. are just so hype and really add to the atmosphere and mood of the fights. sometimes, i really would only be motivated to try and beat a boss to be able to listen to the song (ive known the furi soundtrack a year before i actually got the game- i got the game because of the soundtrack) AND THOSE ARE MY REASONS. GO GO GO PLAY IT NOW!! im definitely going to be going back and trying to speedrun and try on harder modes, no worries. i still have a dlc boss (thats more cha ching but worth it) to beat, but hey ill get there. but for now... sad boy hours over my wife.
