Please read everything before starting! -Fractal Plants- Create plants using fractals that replicate the way that they naturally grow. Design a lone shrub or build a lush forest. Manipulate the variables to design your own plant, or automatically generate another one. To make changes to the plants, switch the variables accordingly and then click the green flag. Variable Guide: angle: decides at which angle the pen splits at for the next step length*: decides how long a fractal step will stretch length-forest**: decides how long a fractal step will stretch during forest mode shrink: decides how much the length will shrink in the next step shrink-forest: decides how much the length will shrink in the next step during forest mode symmetry: decides if a plant will be symmetrical or on a tilt steps: decides how many steps the fractal plant has * length must be at 50 units or more before starting to work ** length-forest must be at 20 untis or more before starting to work Mode Guide: Generate Random Plant: turn to 1 to create a random plant both in forest mode and regular mode, turn to 0 to create your own plant Forest Mode: turn to 1 to create a forest that allows you to create multiple plants with the click of your mouse, turn to 0 to return to regular mode and create single plants Thank you for reading this, and enjoy the project!
Note: This project was based on the fractal trees project in the book Coding Projects in Scratch by Jon Woodcock with DK. I made some changes and added features expanding the project that were not taken from the book. One of these many changes was the ability to create a forest within the same project. It was shown how to create a forest in the original book script, but it took a long time for me to adapt it into my script. Important: I worked really hard on this and therefore would hate to see my time remixed into a project with no credit given whatsoever. Please ask for permission to use this project, but make sure to change it in a way that is noticeable and give credit when doing so :) If you read all the way down to here, please vote in this mini poll: Would you like to see this project with more colours? -Yes- Comment "sapwood" -No- Comment "heartwood" -I'm neutral- Comment "xylem" -Stop it with all the tree references- Comment "dead pith" and then actually answer the question :)
