So, I'm going to have this great D&D campaign and I'm looking for new ideas. So I'll tell you about the first part: The players start in a small town named Silverkeep, this town is happy and care-free. There are no quarrels between races or street gangs to worry about, all is happy here. At least until the players are told that three nearby towns have been taken over by monsters!! They now have to make a journey, there are three different paths they can take, but I'll tell you the most interesting one. The players quickly leave their town out of boredom of such a plain and calm place. but when a mountain blocks the path, they quickly realize that maybe this was a bad idea. They cross the mountain pretty painlessly, with a few monsters here and there. But after they cross it, they see a strange castle looming on the edge of the next mountain. The players travel through a small portion of the dark forest (another interesting route they could've taken) and head into the mountain. When they get to it, they have to make a choice: Go inside and face whatever might be in there, or go around, taking more time than needed? Well, yet again, I'm going to tell you the more interesting story, because I don't want to have to tell them all. So, let us say they knock on the door (though they could break in or something, it's a free decision), and the door just kinda lazily pushes into the building, the inside is dark and filled with cobwebs, seemingly abandoned, but remember this, not all things are as they seem. So, the players decide to enter the dark castle in hopes they can easily cross through. So, if they choose to, they just walk pass the building to get to the back door. But. There is a catch, they hear some strange scuffling and scratching, let's say they decide not to investigate, they just keep on walking, in hopes that it's just a mouse or something. But when they get to the back door, they discover that it's barricaded, so they investigate, to see if they can open it, but it's locked tight and there's no way through. But something jumps out, some supernatural creature of great power, they run away, trying to get to the entrance, but they are attacked by spiders, so they have to run upstairs. They make it upstairs, but are trapped in the building, they need to search for a window to get out, but they keep getting attacked and most windows are too small, but they finally find it, the perfect escape!! A giant stain glass window in the middle of some sort of battle-planning room. But when they get to the center table, a giant spider drops down on them and attacks them. After fighting the spider(s?) they jump out the window and escape the building, running as fast as they can away from that evil castle. After making it over the mountain, they find more forestation, and are frequently attacked by monsters. When they seem to be lost, they finally make it to the village, which is now populated by spiders (more spiders). They fight the spiders and make it to the center of the village, but they still don't know anything about what happened. But there is a strange well in the middle, if they happen to go down it they'll find some tunnels leading to the two other villages, and their village. They race back home over to find their village being taken over, so they rush into battle, defeating the enemies, but leaving their town in ruins, so they are forced to move to a nearby kingdom, where they might end up fighting in a huge war, or they could get trapped withing gang activity, trying to survive against gangsters and criminals... So, did you like it? I came up with it all, the other interesting way was in the dark forest, where they fought against some tribe of... trolls? I don't know many monsters right now, but I know enough for some ideas. The two other villages were similar to the first and would likely be explored by going the two other possible ways, and the war part is a new idea that might be farther explored later. And I should make more of this. If you read all of this, comment 14279 on my profile and nothing will happen!! So, bye, and expect more on D&D!!
