Note, 8-17-18: Looking back, I feel like this project didn't help me learn much artistically. It was basically an attempt to mimic a style that I liked. However, I guess I've learned from the failure of this project. For instance, Volkner's official art is great because it says something about how he acts... that is, depressed. My drawing of Cameron doesn't say that he's a total grouch; in fact, it says kind of the opposite. But making the project was fun, and it got me into Volkner, and by extension, Sinnoh (and then Johto). Yes this was the catalyst for my Volkner obsession
