This was designed to introduce the beginning concepts of trigonometry to students. Press the green flag to start. Triangle ABC has a right angle A. Change the lengths of sides AB (b) and AC (a) by using sliders. The hypotenuse, BC, and angles B and C are automatically calculated. Angle measures are in degrees. Use the black boxes to cover up information so that, when teaching, you can set up a problem and then ask students to find the hidden dimension. To more precisely set the lengths of sides "a" or "b", press the "a" or "b" key (respectively) on your keyboard, then type in the measurement and press "enter".
This is for a math project. For more trigonometry (using non-inverse trig functions), see: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/22694900/#player
