A recent short story of mine (May 2014), approximately 1500 words. To those of you who have read some of my other works, this may look familiar, and that is for a reason. This is a rewriting of my first story I posted on here, Dreams Submerged ( http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/17402804/ ). Though I did like how Dreams Submerged turned out, I really wished it was longer, as it was not even 600 words. I do like how Abyss has turned out, though I feel that it's changed from the original. It is now most definitely a person who has fallen off a ship (/pier/cliff/helicopter/thing), and not as open-ended, but I added a lot of things I felt were missing in the original. There are much more texture and sound descriptions in Abyss, as well as a heavier emphasis on light/dark. However, I've kept some of the parts of the original I really liked. ...You know, I think I'll stop ranting and let you enjoy the story. c: Critiques & comments are welcome, but please no stealing or rude comments. Also, in-depth critiques are best - it helps if you tell me what you did and didn't like about my story :) The song is In the Dolphin Tank by Port Blue.
