You just type. There are only letters, no punctuation. Sorry. Left arrow key: delete. NOT THE DELETE KEY. The left arrow key is rather sensitive, so you might find yourself wondering why your whole word disappeared when you only wanted to delete one letter. Just re-type it. You can delete things on the line above, but the cursor will start on the outside of the page and on the next line, so I highly advise that you correct mistakes right away. Up arrow: random dots Down arrow: stop the random dots. The eraser button works just like a real eraser, but you have to touch the clones for them to disappear. Unfortunately, the letters don't shift to accommodate the space. I think Scratch can't handle a ton of clones, so if you write a paragraph or an essay, the typing will stop eventually and you won't have any letters, just spaces. So do not write that report that is overdue and you have to finish with this program. Word or Pages work better.
Thanks lm11887 for the Delete key help.
