------------------------------NOTICE-------------------------------- 9/9/22 - Virus Blaster is officially 1 year old! Update V1.1.2 is out now! Welcome to VIRUS BLASTER, an arcade-type game I started a year or two ago but couldn't be bothered to work on it. I have just released it so please let me know of any bugs other than the ones identified below. ----------------------------STORYLINE---------------------------- A massive outbreak of deadly viruses have plagued a containment research lab. They are notorious for causing severe swelling in the body - to the point of exploding. It is your job to keep the virus under control by blasting them with your Photon Blaster. Make sure you don't take too many hits or you will swell up and explode! ------------INSTRUCTIONS------------- --> Click the green flag (maybe two times at least) --> Press START --> Select difficulty -> Easy: 6HP -> Normal: 3HP -> Hard: 1HP --> Select from either a male or female character -------------------------CONTROLS-------------------------- Arrow Keys/WASD --> Move Mouse click/SPACE --> shoot blaster -------------THINGS TO NOTE WHILE PLAYING---------- --> Virus gradually get faster each round --> Taking damage grants you 3 seconds of invincibility frames --> The piercing bullet allows you to shoot more than one enemy with one bullet. --> The rotate bullet shoots a bullet that continually rotates until the round ends. Tip: firing a few can help to make a small shield circle. --> There is a different world record for all 3 difficulties ------------------------------BUGS-------------------------------- --> Standing in a large group of viruses may take out more than 1HP at a time --> (Update in progress) Health 2 power package sometimes gives 3 lives instead of 2 --> (Not really a bug) Virus will occasionally spawn on the player. Take care of this especially for hard mode ------------VERSIONS/UPDATE PATCH NOTES----------- V1.0 - 09/09/2021 - Release V1.0.1 - 10/09/2021 - Nerfed pierce bullet (slower) - The health bar goes transparent when touching a virus or the player V1.1.0 - 18/01/2022 - Power Pack update: - Pierce Bullet - Bullet travels at the same speed as the regular bullet (pre-nerf) - Rotate Bullet - Health 1 & 2: increases health by 1 or 2 respectively (does not increase total health) - Health Restore: Sets health to maximum - 100pts: Adds 100pts - Big Bullet: Increases size of the regular bullet (less aim required) - SUPER LASER: Hold mouse or SPACE to unleash a mega laser that can wipe out all viruses on the screen V1.1.1 - 18/07/22 - Fixed bug where power packages wouldn't spawn again if you let it touch the bottom of the screen - Added WASD controls (Took me a while, lol) V1.1.2 - 23/07/22 - Fixed more bugs relating to the package drops, especially health packages V1.1.3 - 29/03/24 - Fixed bug where viruses would be destroyed if they walked into the front of the blaster - Fixed bug where bullets would stop traveling and disappear when touching a virus undergoing the explosion animation
